A native Texan and one of eight siblings. Pastor Deckard loves God and enjoys learning more about His Inspired Word (The Bible).  She lives in Dallas with her spouse and teenage son. Pastor Deckard preached her first sermon as a Lay Minister at Metropolitan Community Church (Dallas) in 2004, under the direction of Elder Lillie Brock. She was ordained into the Gospel Ministry on July 5, 2008 under the direction of Elder Angee Sharon Dickens, Little Rock, AR.  Since her journey began, she has continued to be a student of the Bible,  preaching and teaching the Gospel Message to the masses.

Pastor Deckard has made her life about service.  She has participated in many community projects and workshops; seminars and volunteer ministries, from Parenting Symposiums to Diversity Conferences along with local speaking engagements.  She has been the recipient of numerous awards for her Community Outreach, Volunteer Ministries and Spirituality.  She is a Partnered Ally with the University of North Texas Equity and Diversity Programs.

On December 1, 2007, Pastor Deckard established D. G. Deckard Ministries, Inc. 501(c)(3), which focuses on the Five-Fold Ministries. Pastor Deckard founded Church of the Solid Rock on September 4, 2008. She constantly reminds others that salvation is free to all who will receive it.
